You can delete your Relta account and the personal data tied to it at any time, either in the Relta app or by email. You do not need the app installed to ask me to delete your account.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Relta app and sign in.
- Tap the You tab.
- Under Account, tap Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Review what will be removed, then tap Continue.
- Type DELETE and tap Delete account.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone, and a deleted account cannot be recovered.
Delete it by email
If you no longer have the app, cannot sign in, or the app says your account cannot be deleted in the app, email support@relta.ca from the email address on your account with the subject line "Delete my account". I may ask you to confirm the request so that no one else can delete your account. I confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account and login details
- Your profile: name, photo, phone number, employment details, last known address and location, and preferences
- Your saved homes and saved searches
- Your enquiries and message threads with Relta
- Your alert settings and the push notification registrations for your devices
- Documents and files stored in your account
Public listing data and MLS® records are not part of your account and are not affected.
What is kept, and why
Some records are kept after your account is deleted, no longer linked to your account, because the law requires them or because they protect your choices:
- Signed agreements and other transaction records, which BC record-keeping rules require me to keep.
- Enquiry and lead records held by Ray Rasouli, the licensed real estate professional who provides the real estate services on Relta, for up to seven years from your last interaction, to meet his professional record-keeping obligations.
- Your email address on my do-not-contact list, so that I never email you again.
- Records of SMS consent and opt-outs, for as long as telecommunications law requires.
- Analytics data, for my analytics provider's standard retention period (for example, 14 months for Google Analytics 4 event data).
Everything else is deleted, except where the law requires me to keep it. When a record is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized. For details, read my Privacy Policy.
