Effective Date: April 2, 2026
Ray Rasouli Real Estate ("Relta") respects your privacy. This policy describes how personal information submitted through relta.ca is collected, used, and protected.
We aim to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA"), the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act ("BC PIPA"), and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector ("Quebec Law 25"). For visitors who are California residents we describe rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"). For visitors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland we describe rights available under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
Ray Rasouli Real Estate is the controller of personal information collected through the Site. Ray Rasouli serves as our designated person in charge of the protection of personal information (Privacy Officer). You can reach the Privacy Officer at ray@relta.ca.
When you submit a form on the site, your name, email address, phone number, property address, and preferences (e.g., buying timeline, property type) may be collected. Basic device and usage information (browser type, pages visited) is also collected through analytics tools.
We collect this information directly from you when you interact with the Site, automatically when your device interacts with our servers and third-party SDKs, and, in limited cases, from third parties such as cooperating real estate professionals who refer you to us, multiple listing services, public land records, and identity- or address-verification providers.
Your information is used solely to provide real estate advisory services: matching you with relevant properties, following up on your inquiry, and sending market insights you have opted into. Your personal information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Where Canadian law applies, we rely on your consent (express or, where permitted, implied) to collect, use, and disclose personal information for the purposes above. Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps you request; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site (balanced against your rights); your consent (for non-essential cookies, marketing communications, and any processing of sensitive data); and compliance with legal obligations.
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, and similar technologies (collectively, "tracking technologies") to operate the Site, remember your preferences, secure forms and authentication, measure traffic, understand how visitors use the Site, and (where you have consented) measure advertising performance. Some tracking technologies are strictly necessary; others are loaded only with your consent where required by applicable law.
The categories of tracking technologies we use include: (i) strictly necessary cookies for authentication, security, fraud prevention, anti-scraping, CSRF protection, and load balancing; (ii) functional cookies that remember language and display preferences; (iii) analytics technologies such as Google Analytics 4, our first-party Relta analytics, and Vercel Analytics, which help us understand aggregate usage; and (iv) advertising and measurement technologies, which may include Google Ads tags, the Meta Pixel, and similar pixels operated by advertising platforms, used to measure conversions and (where you have consented) to deliver more relevant marketing.
A detailed list of the specific cookies and SDKs we deploy, their purpose, vendor, retention, and how to opt out is available on our Cookies & Tracking Technologies page. Where required by applicable law (including Quebec Law 25 and the GDPR), non-essential tracking technologies are loaded only after you opt in through our consent banner. You can change your choices at any time through the "Cookie preferences" control. We also recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" under the CPRA and equivalent US state laws.
We share personal information in the following circumstances and with the following categories of recipients: (a) service providers and processors that operate the Site and our business on our behalf, including hosting and analytics (Vercel, Vercel Analytics), customer-relationship management (Follow Up Boss), database and authentication (Supabase), mapping (Mapbox), bot protection and form-security (Google reCAPTCHA), email and messaging providers, and Google Analytics; (b) licensed real estate professionals (such as a cooperating agent or referral partner) when you ask to be connected to, or are introduced to, that professional in furtherance of your transaction; (c) independent licensed mortgage brokers featured on the Site when you submit a pre-approval request: the financial details you provide for that purpose are shared with that broker as described in our Disclosure page; (d) professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, auditors); (e) government authorities, regulators (including BCFSA and the Real Estate Council of British Columbia), and law enforcement where required to comply with applicable law, court order, or regulatory request; and (f) an acquirer, successor, or financing party in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not provide personal information to data brokers or lead aggregators. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. However, the use of certain analytics and advertising tracking technologies on the Site (for example, Google Analytics with advertising features, Google Ads, and the Meta Pixel) may be considered a "sale" or a "share" for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are broadly defined under the California CPRA and certain other US state privacy laws. California residents and residents of other US states that provide similar rights may opt out of this "sale" or "sharing" at any time through our cookie banner, by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in their browser, or by emailing ray@relta.ca with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
We do not sell your phone number or other personal contact information to third parties for their own promotional purposes, and we do not provide your contact details to data brokers or lead aggregators. In the course of serving your real estate needs we may share your contact details with licensed real estate professionals (for example, a cooperating agent or specialist) to assist with the service you have requested. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data collected on the Site are used only to deliver the service you have requested and are not shared with third parties for marketing, except to the messaging vendors that transmit messages on our behalf.
By submitting a lead form and checking the consent box, you agree to be contacted by Ray Rasouli via call, email, and text for real estate services. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or clicking the unsubscribe link in emails. For help, reply HELP.
1. We use SMS to confirm appointments, send reminders, and notify clients of schedule updates or important changes.
2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP". After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance, or you can get help directly at ray@relta.ca.
4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency may vary. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
6. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read this Privacy Policy in full.
If you submit a mortgage pre-approval request, the financial inputs you provide (such as annual income range, monthly debt range, and target home price) are sensitive and are shared with the independent licensed mortgage broker featured on that page so that the broker can contact you about pre-approval options. We retain a record of the submission for compliance and audit purposes. We do not use this financial information for any marketing purpose. See our Disclosure page for the related referral-compensation disclosure.
Several of our service providers, including Vercel, Supabase, Follow Up Boss, Google (Analytics, Ads, reCAPTCHA, Maps), Mapbox, and our messaging vendors, store and process personal information outside of British Columbia, including in the United States and other jurisdictions. Personal information processed in those jurisdictions may be subject to access requests by foreign courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities under the laws of that jurisdiction. We require our service providers, by contract, to implement reasonable security safeguards and to process personal information only for the purposes we specify. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum). By using the Site you acknowledge these international transfers.
We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, to satisfy our professional record-keeping obligations as a BC-licensed real estate practice (which may require retention of transaction-related records for up to seven years after the end of the engagement), and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Lead-form submissions and CRM records are typically retained for up to seven years from your last interaction; account and authentication records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; analytics data is generally retained per the default retention period of the analytics provider (for example, 14 months for Google Analytics 4 event data); and SMS consent and opt-out records are retained for the duration required by applicable telecommunications law. When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete, de-identify, or anonymize it.
Industry-standard security measures protect your data. Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored in secure systems with limited access.
Under Canadian privacy law, you may request access to and correction of personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw your consent to our continued use of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Residents of Quebec also have the right to obtain a copy of their personal information in a structured, commonly used technological format (data portability), to request that information be de-indexed or ceased to be disseminated in certain circumstances, and to be informed of automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects (we do not currently use such automated decision-making). You may submit a request to ray@relta.ca. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may decline requests as permitted by applicable law.
If you are a California resident (or a resident of another US state with similar rights), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and "sell" or "share"; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. To exercise these rights, use our cookie banner, enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, or email ray@relta.ca with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request." An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca), or, for Quebec residents, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14 (or under 13 where US law applies). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact ray@relta.ca and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We use rule-based matching and ranking to surface relevant listings and content; final decisions about whom to introduce, list, or recommend involve human review by Ray Rasouli or our team.
The Site may link to third-party websites or services that we do not operate or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party service before providing information to it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date and version at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (for example, by a banner on the Site or by email). Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
For questions about this policy, contact Ray Rasouli at ray@relta.ca.Cookies & Tracking Technologies page and our Referral & Mortgage Broker Disclosure.
