Effective date: August 14, 2026 (Version 2026.08)
Ray Rasouli ("I," "me," or "my") is a licensed real estate professional in British Columbia licensed with Real Broker B.C. Ltd., operating under the brand Relta Real Estate. Relta Real Estate is a brand and technology platform. It is not a brokerage and does not provide real estate services. The Relta software and platform are owned by Awesome Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information I collect through relta.ca and related digital properties (the "Site"), how I use and share it, the legal bases for processing, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site or submitting information through it, you acknowledge the practices described here.
I aim to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA"), the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act ("BC PIPA"), and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector ("Quebec Law 25"). For visitors who are California residents I describe rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"). For visitors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland I describe rights available under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
Ray Rasouli is the controller of personal information collected through the Site and serves as the designated person in charge of the protection of personal information (Privacy Officer). The Relta software on which the Site runs is owned by Awesome Technologies, which handles personal information only on Ray Rasouli's behalf and instructions. You can reach the Privacy Officer at ray@relta.ca.
I collect the following categories of personal information: (a) identifiers and contact details you submit through forms (name, email address, phone number, postal or property address); (b) real estate preferences (buying or selling timeline, budget range, property type, neighbourhoods of interest, and similar inputs); (c) financial information that you voluntarily provide to obtain a mortgage pre-approval introduction (such as annual income range, monthly debt range, and target home price); (d) account credentials and authentication data if you create an account, sign in, save listings, or use the dashboard; (e) communications you send to me by form, email, text, or call, including SMS opt-in records and timestamps; (f) device, network, and usage information collected automatically when you visit the Site (IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, click and scroll events, and session timing); and (g) cookies and similar tracking technologies described in my Cookies & Tracking section.
I collect this information directly from you when you interact with the Site, automatically when your device interacts with my servers and third-party SDKs, and, in limited cases, from third parties such as cooperating real estate professionals who refer you to me, multiple listing services, public land records, and identity- or address-verification providers.
I use personal information to: (1) provide the real estate advisory services you request, including responding to inquiries and matching you with relevant properties; (2) introduce you to cooperating licensed professionals (real estate agents, mortgage brokers) when you ask for an introduction; (3) operate, secure, and improve the Site and detect fraud, abuse, and automated scraping; (4) send service messages, transactional notifications, and (where you have opted in) market insights, listing alerts, and educational content; (5) measure marketing effectiveness, including aggregate analytics and conversion measurement; (6) comply with legal, regulatory, and professional-conduct obligations applicable to a BC-licensed real estate practice; and (7) establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where Canadian law applies, I rely on your consent (express or, where permitted, implied) to collect, use, and disclose personal information for the purposes above. Where GDPR applies, my legal bases are: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps you request; my legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site (balanced against your rights); your consent (for non-essential cookies, marketing communications, and any processing of sensitive data); and compliance with legal obligations.
I and the service providers I work with use cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, and similar technologies (collectively, "tracking technologies") to operate the Site, remember your preferences, secure forms and authentication, measure traffic, understand how visitors use the Site, and (where you have consented) measure advertising performance. Some tracking technologies are strictly necessary; others are loaded only with your consent where required by applicable law.
The categories of tracking technologies I use include: (i) strictly necessary cookies for authentication, security, fraud prevention, anti-scraping, CSRF protection, and load balancing; (ii) functional cookies that remember language and display preferences; (iii) analytics technologies such as Google Analytics 4, my first-party Relta analytics, and Vercel Analytics, which help me understand aggregate usage; and (iv) advertising and measurement technologies, which may include Google Ads tags, the Meta Pixel, and similar pixels operated by advertising platforms, used to measure conversions and (where you have consented) to deliver more relevant marketing.
A detailed list of the specific cookies and SDKs I deploy, their purpose, vendor, retention, and how to opt out is available on my Cookies & Tracking Technologies page. Where required by applicable law (including Quebec Law 25 and the GDPR), non-essential tracking technologies are loaded only after you opt in through my consent banner. You can change your choices at any time through the "Cookie preferences" control. I also recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" under the CPRA and equivalent US state laws.
I share personal information in the following circumstances and with the following categories of recipients: (a) service providers and processors that operate the Site and my business on my behalf, including hosting and analytics (Vercel, Vercel Analytics), customer-relationship management (Follow Up Boss), database and authentication (Supabase), mapping (Mapbox), bot protection and form-security (Google reCAPTCHA), email and messaging providers, and Google Analytics; (b) licensed real estate professionals (such as a cooperating agent or referral partner) when you ask to be connected to, or are introduced to, that professional in furtherance of your transaction; (c) independent licensed mortgage brokers featured on the Site when you submit a pre-approval request: the financial details you provide for that purpose are shared with that broker as described in my Disclosure page; (d) professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, auditors); (e) government authorities, regulators (including BCFSA and the Real Estate Council of British Columbia), and law enforcement where required to comply with applicable law, court order, or regulatory request; and (f) an acquirer, successor, or financing party in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality protections.
I do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. I do not provide personal information to data brokers or lead aggregators. I do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. However, the use of certain analytics and advertising tracking technologies on the Site (for example, Google Analytics with advertising features, Google Ads, and the Meta Pixel) may be considered a "sale" or a "share" for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are broadly defined under the California CPRA and certain other US state privacy laws. California residents and residents of other US states that provide similar rights may opt out of this "sale" or "sharing" at any time through my cookie banner, by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in their browser, or by emailing ray@relta.ca with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." I will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
I do not sell your phone number or other personal contact information to third parties for their own promotional purposes, and I do not provide your contact details to data brokers or lead aggregators. In the course of serving your real estate needs I may share your contact details with licensed real estate professionals (for example, a cooperating agent or specialist) to assist with the service you have requested. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data collected on the Site are used only to deliver the service you have requested and are not shared with third parties for marketing, except to the messaging vendors that transmit messages on my behalf.
By submitting a lead form and checking the SMS consent box, you expressly consent to receive recurring informational and transactional text messages from Ray Rasouli at the mobile number you provide, including messages sent using automated technology. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or service. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and ongoing interaction. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. I will honor opt-out requests promptly.
1. We use SMS to confirm appointments, send reminders, and notify clients of schedule updates or important changes.
2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP". After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance, or you can get help directly at ray@relta.ca.
4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency may vary. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
6. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read this Privacy Policy in full.
If you submit a mortgage pre-approval request, the financial inputs you provide (such as annual income range, monthly debt range, and target home price) are sensitive and are shared with the independent licensed mortgage broker featured on that page so that the broker can contact you about pre-approval options. I retain a record of the submission for compliance and audit purposes. I do not use this financial information for any marketing purpose. See my Disclosure page for the related referral-compensation disclosure.
Several of my service providers, including Vercel, Supabase, Follow Up Boss, Google (Analytics, Ads, reCAPTCHA, Maps), Mapbox, and my messaging vendors, store and process personal information outside of British Columbia, including in the United States and other jurisdictions. Personal information processed in those jurisdictions may be subject to access requests by foreign courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities under the laws of that jurisdiction. I require my service providers, by contract, to implement reasonable security safeguards and to process personal information only for the purposes I specify. Where required, I rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum). By using the Site you acknowledge these international transfers.
I retain personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, to satisfy my professional record-keeping obligations as a BC-licensed real estate practice (which may require retention of transaction-related records for up to seven years after the end of the engagement), and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Lead-form submissions and CRM records are typically retained for up to seven years from your last interaction; account and authentication records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; analytics data is generally retained per the default retention period of the analytics provider (for example, 14 months for Google Analytics 4 event data); and SMS consent and opt-out records are retained for the duration required by applicable telecommunications law. When personal information is no longer needed, I will delete, de-identify, or anonymize it.
I use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and loss. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls on production systems, hashing of authentication credentials, vendor-security review, anti-scraping controls, and bot-protection. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and you transmit information to me at your own risk. In the event of a security incident that creates a real risk of significant harm, I will notify affected individuals and applicable regulators (including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, and the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec) as required by applicable law.
Under Canadian privacy law, you may request access to and correction of personal information I hold about you, and you may withdraw your consent to my continued use of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Residents of Quebec also have the right to obtain a copy of their personal information in a structured, commonly used technological format (data portability), to request that information be de-indexed or ceased to be disseminated in certain circumstances, and to be informed of automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects (I do not currently use such automated decision-making). You may submit a request to ray@relta.ca. I may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may decline requests as permitted by applicable law.
If you are a California resident (or a resident of another US state with similar rights), you have the right to know what personal information I collect, use, disclose, and "sell" or "share"; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. To exercise these rights, use my cookie banner, enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, or email ray@relta.ca with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request." An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on my legitimate interests, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
If you are not satisfied with my response, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca), or, for Quebec residents, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14 (or under 13 where US law applies). If you believe a child has provided me with personal information, please contact ray@relta.ca and I will take appropriate steps to delete the information.
I do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. I use rule-based matching, ranking, and AI-assisted tools to surface relevant listings and content; final decisions about whom to introduce, list, or recommend involve human review by Ray Rasouli.
Parts of the Site use artificial intelligence, including a conversational search assistant and AI-assisted property and market summaries. When you use these features, the messages you type and related search context (such as your current filters and, if you are signed in, your saved search preferences) are processed by third-party AI model providers acting as service providers on my behalf. AI search messages are also stored in a restricted first-party log and scheduled for deletion after 90 days so I can review failed searches and improve the experience. Do not enter sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers or government identifiers) into AI features. I instruct these providers not to use your information to train their models. AI outputs are generated automatically, may contain errors, are provided for general information only, and are not advice from a licensed real estate professional; verify important details independently or with Ray Rasouli directly.
The Site may link to third-party websites or services that I do not operate or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. I encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party service before providing information to it.
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I make material changes I will update the effective date and version at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (for example, by a banner on the Site or by email). Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
For questions, complaints, or to exercise any privacy right described above, contact my Privacy Officer, Ray Rasouli, at ray@relta.ca. You can also review my Cookies & Tracking Technologies page and my Referral Disclosure.
