The Cost of Rescinding
If you exercise your rescission right, you owe the seller 0.25% of the purchase price. This is automatically deducted from your deposit (or billed if no deposit has been made yet).
Examples: • $600K home → $1,500 rescission fee • $1M home → $2,500 rescission fee • $2M home → $5,000 rescission fee
